The Arrow of Light is the highest rank awarded in Cub Scouts. Scouts that earn this rank are ready to cross over into a Boy Scout troop where even more fun awaits them. The boys that are working for their Arrow of Light are usually fifth grade or 10½ years old.
To earn the Arrow of Light, a scout must complete four required adventures covering Scout Spirit (Scout Oath, Scout Law, Outdoor Code), Duty to God, camping, and how to make their world a better place. Along with this, three elective adventures must be completed. They also must earn their Cyber Chip.
