Geocache Description:

This cache was placed with permission from the Pastor of Faith Lutheran.

The only request is to not geocache there Sundays 11-12.30. It is also not in, on, or around the stones of the church nor the garden or sidewalks

Don't park on the lawn or concrete pads. Parking is just down the alley.

The church building was originally built in 1854 as Christ Episcopal where the post office is now. After a disastrous fire in 1889 the German Ev. Church (Now First UCC) in Elmira bought the building and moved it to its current location. The windows above the addition survived the fire and are, as far as the congregational historian can tell, the oldest religious stained glass pieces in Corning. The other windows are from the 1970s.
