Hotelska luka Kornati tijekom vremena postala je premala za sve ljubitelje mora i nautike stoga je ILIRIJA d.d. uvidjevši važnost nautičkog turizma u razvoju grada Biograda na Moru i njegov utjecaj na ukupne turističke rezultate 1985. godine proširila njene kapacitete izgradnjom marine Kornati, smještene u zapadnom dijelu Biograda na Moru, sa dodatnih 450 vezova.
Današnja marina Kornati ukupne morske površine (akvatorija) 91.912 m2 i kopnene površine od 39.688 m2 zasigurno je jedna od najvećih nautičkih luka Zadarske županije i jedini istinski pokretač razvoja nautičkog turizma Biogradske rivijere koja je zahvaljujući nautičkim potencijalima samog grada te viziji i hrabrosti ILIRIJE d.d. omogućila Biogradu ne samo da postane nautički grad već i centar razvoja nautičkog turizma.
U akvatoriju marine godišnje se održi preko 40 domaćih i međunarodnih regata svih klasa i preko 30 flotila na kojima sudjeluje i do 10.000 jedriličara iz cijelog svijeta stoga s pravom i ponosom marina Kornati i Biograd na Moru zaslužuju nositi naziv ne samo nautičkog već i regatnog centra sjeverne Dalmacije.
Marina ima 15 uređenih gatova sa 750 vezova s priključkom za stuju i vodu, dovoljno mjesta na kopnu za servis i održavanje plovila.
Hotel Kornati port over time became too small for all those who love the sea and sailing and therefore ILIRIJA d.d. recognizing the importance of nautical tourism in the development of the city of Biograd and its impact on the overall tourism results in 1985 expanded its capacity by building Marina Kornati, located in the western part of Biograd, with an additional 450 berths.
Today's marina Kornati total sea area (maritime zone) is 91 912 m2 and the land area of 39,688 m2 is certainly one of the largest nautical port of Zadar county and the only real driving forces for the development of nautical tourism Biograd Riviera, which is thanks to the nautical potential of the city itself and the vision and courage from ILIRIJA d.d. enabled Biograd not only to become a nautical city center but also the development of nautical tourism.
In the waters of the marina yearly maintain more than 40 national and international regattas of all classes and over 30 flotillas, which are attended by up to 10,000 sailors from around the world rightly and proudly marina Kornati and Biograd deserve to be called not only nautical but also regatta center of northern Dalmatia.
