La Fontana di Stalis Traditional Cache

At the end of the road, where the WW1 mule track starts its ascent to the once front line on the ridge of Monte Crostis, a drinking trough dated 1914 and a new mural commemorating the past times.

Alla fine della strada, dove la mulattiera della prima guerra mondiale comincia a salire verso la fronte sulla cresta di Monte Crostis, un beveratoio costruito nel 1914 e un murale nuovo per ricordare i tempi passati

From Rigolato take the road to "Gracco Vuezzis Stalis". Drop steeply into the gorge of the Degano River and start the climb up the opposite side. At Soclap take the left turn to Vuezzis. After several bends pass through Vuezzis and on to the end of the road, to the depopulated settlement of Stalis di Rigolato. The total distance from the main road below is 3 km, but it will seem longer! Here there is a drinking trough with a spring that gives excellent water. Recently a local artist has painted a mural on the retaining wall, commemorating events in the 1st World War.

The cache is a small small container, but bigger than a micro. You need to look at the spoiler photo.Be sure to replace the stones as you found them so that the spoiler pic will be useful for others too.

Da Rigolato prendete la strada per "Gracco Vuezzis Stalis". Scendete ripidamente nella valle del Degano poi risalire l'altra parte. A Soclap prendete la sinistra per Vuezzis. Dopo qualche tornante passate Vuezzis e poi fino alla fine della strada dove troverete la frazione spopolata di Stalis di Rigolato. La distanza totale dalla strada principale è 3 km ma sembrerà più lunga! Qui troverete un beveratoio con una fontana di acqua buonissima. Recentement un'artista locale ha pitturato un murale sul muro di contenimento, per ricordare qualche evento della prima guerra mondiale.
