A geocache placed to mark the 70th birthday of Geocaching fan, marvellous Mum and glorious Grandma.. Justevi. What better birthday present for a cacher than a personalised cache?!
Placed on the old Egremont, Whitehaven and Cleator Moor railway line which is now the cycleway. This is a place that brings back memories of my childhood and a place I pass when walking to my Mum's. I remember walking 'down the line' as a child and coming home with red shoes from the old iron ore which was still present. The old iron bridge is not the most attractive of bridges but is the ideal place for a rest and in my youth made a fabulous meeting place! Those wanting a shorter walk can approach the cache either from the Crossings Close entrance to the cycle path or from the Crossfield Road entrance. The cache site is midway between the two.
