SummerCamp at Cleve Cole Hut
We went camping in the snow last year, the year before, three years ago and four years ago as well. So we thought we spice it up and camp in summer for a change. Wahooo!
If you feel like a nice weekend away from everything, join us in the High Country and share some of your geocaching stories while enjoying the time with some like-minded adventurers. BYO will be the theme of the evening since there is nothing to buy. Sharing on the other hand is highly encouraged.
Now while you're looking at the map, you might scratch your head and ask yourself how do you drive there. There is a simple answer to this: You don't. Vehicle access ends at either of the two trail-heads which are listed below. Yes it is a bit of a walk and I strongly recommend this event for experienced hikers only. You don't want to die out there - Lex did that already. The above picture gives you a taste of the possible conditions if everything goes to plan (it was taken Xmas 2014 at Mt BawBaw). Here are the technical details:

There's no requirement to camp there in order to attend the event however it might be the safer option.
The Bushrangers Women's Walking Club like to play things safe so please note that this event may be cancelled at the last minute. The reasons for this may include, but are not limited to:
• Closure of the forest area by ParksVic
• Extreme hot weather (temperatures above 35 °C)
• Severe, Extreme or Code Red Fire Danger Rating
• Fire in the local area
• Predictions of possibilities of any of the above
If you intend on coming, please log your Will Attend. Any notifications regarding cancellations will be posted immediately as an announcement to this page and we'll get in touch with you if we have your contact details. That way all teams who have logged a Will Attend will be notified of any possible changes straight away.
