The most creative nicknames happen in Elementary School. In Grade 3, a classmate got tagged with "Tony Baloney From Hudson Bay Post". He went by this until sometime in grade four when the handle eventually fell into disuse.
The first two words are just a natural rhyme that kids come up with. Our weekly local news were published in the Hudson Bay Post-Review, commonly called the Hudson Bay Post. As far as I can remember, our friend Tony had nothing at all to do with the newspaper, but it sounded cool together.
Tony didn't have another nickname until high school, when he acquired a new one, the origins of which are equally obscure.
