Geocache Description:



This cache will take you close to Ravensden Water Tower, a huge white building which commands the horizon for miles around it.

Built between 1950 and 1953, the tower can hold 100,000 gallons of water. Once purified, water is pumped to the tower before being piped to the homes in Ravensden.

The cache can be located along a public footpath. Parking is available here, off road, for a single vehicle comfortably; however please ensure entrances are not blocked.

The tower itself can be reached via a short walk along grassy verges, however i would not recommend doing this with either children or animals as the road may be busy at times.

The tower sits within a private enclosure and it is not necessary to enter this to find the cache. Please ensure the cache is properly closed and replaced where it was found.
