It isn't the longest beach in town, the best smelling, or the nicest for swimming in, but the sound of the water lapping against the shore is always soothing. The sand is great for playing in, and maybe best of all, there are public washrooms and free parking! Stop to find the cache, and then take a few minutes for a walk along the shore. Beach treasures are constantly being renewed, with each wave that reaches the beach. (I found a great piece of beach glass and a lovely driftwood stick on today's visit!)
As with all parks in the City of Port Colborne, it is only open from dawn until dusk. Please respect the neighbours; no night caching at this site.
Thanks to the Deadliest Cachers for the container, won at an event they recently held on Grand Island!
