This is a classic, Lower Mainland BC old growth forest trail. We are so lucky to have this in our backyard, and the main trail loops for Pitxel and Choiqthet make it accessible for most everyone who is capable of a 1.5-2 Terrain ratings
Cache is within reach from the main trail, NO vegetation needs to be wacked or disturbed.
Bring water, snacks and half-decent shoes; nothing hardy required unless we are in our monsoon season(s). Trails are predominately shaded and very well kept but do have some typical forest roots and stones along the way. Mossy limbs and giant maples abound while some recent updates make this a great morning or afternoon stroll. Kids can easily do the Pitxel Loop, most will be able to enjoy the longer Choiqthet trail as well. There are longer and shorter versions to choose from with more than typical signage along the way. All trails connect and loop back to the parking trail-head. Bella highly recommends these trail to all geo-hounds.
