To start off, let me say this cache is located 6 metres above ground. That's just short of 20 feet up. But don't worry. The majority of people won't have too much trouble with this, even if your arms and legs aren't made of rubber.
To put this cache into perspective, while you are standing there holding it in your hands you are 31 metres higher above sea level than the ground at the Manitoba Legislature Building. 11 metres higher than the ground in front of the Stoney Mountain Penitentiary. 45m higher than the "Viking" in Gimli. 15m higher than Delta Beach on Lake Manitoba.
That's the point of this cache. It is actually one of the highest points on public land that a person can go in SE Manitoba. Strangely it doesn't feel like it, but then SE Manitoba isn't known for it's towering peaks.
And just so you don't get to thinking you are on par with the likes of Sir Edmond Hillary, first man to climb Mount Everest, just for reaching this cache, the highest point in Manitoba is Baldy Mountain, in the Duck Mountains, at 832 metres above sea level. So, 261m down, and only 571m to go. Still, it's worth a bit of a celebration. Be sure to sign the log. You've concured The 3rd Dimension.
Note: I have permission from the town to place this cache, so don't be concerned with that.
