Wandering the Ponderosa Traditional Cache

Okay your right, this really this isn't in Neveda, nor is as large as the legendary Cartwright ranch. This is Ponderosa Park in South Carolina, a park owned and operated by the town of Six Mile. 

 

The park itself is great place to get away and let the kids play. Lot's of learning happens here from baseball, softball, football and cheerleading. The park also features some cool hands on learning "stations/posts", given by Terry and Karen Durham in loving memory of Holly Durham, which helps kids and parents play, interact and learn from one another. It also features a cool literacy exchange, which is sure to grab your attention. Oh, I forgot to mention the swings and the slides on the playground as well as the walking track.

 

As you can tell this is a pretty great place just off the beaten path.
