Lauraloll: Thanks to everyone for coming along and pulling up the daisies.
This is definitely a place that would benefit from multiple visits.
Don't forget to log your TBs as there are still 2 dumped in the event.

The common Michaelmas Daisy is a harmful invasive species that is currently growing rampant in Merkinch Nature Reserve.  Our aim is to uproot as many as possible within the allocated 2 hours.

  • Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for working in a densly overgrown area.
  • Bring your own gardening gloves.
  • No other equipment is necessary.

Please meet at 2pm at the given co-ordinates by the benches for a briefing.  Many thanks to Stephen Wiseman, Scottish Canals Heritage Officer, who is also an Advisor on the Reserve Committee for his help.
