La Douve ou ‘Ouve’ est une rivière, à 79 kilomètres de longueur, qui se dresse dans la commune de Tollevast, près de Cherbourg dans le département de la Manche. Le 'Ouve' est considéré comme son ancien nom.

(The Douve or ‘Ouve’ is a river, 79 kilometres in length, which rises in the commune of Tollevast, near Cherbourg in the department of Manche. The ‘Ouve’ is considered its old name).

Lors de l'invasion alliée de la forteresse Europa de Hitler sur le D-Day, la rivière était la frontière entre le flanc gauche atterrissage forces alliées sur Utah Beach (sur sa rive gauche et ainsi à l'ouest le plus proche Roune) et la bataille défensive sanglante qui a eu lieu à Omaha Plage.
