The City of Galena has allowed caches to be placed along the River Trail. We can give back to the City by helping keep it clean.
There will be time during the CITO for stops at any caches you may not have already found. I will also be doing maintenance on all the caches.
We will meet at 10 am at the listed coordinates which is the trailhead. Cross the railroad tracks at the Depot and drive to the end of the parking lot under the bridge.
The trail is 3.5 miles long, 7 miles round trip. Some may want to walk. I can't walk that far so I am bringing my bicycle. Whichever mode of travel works for you is fine. If you can only do part of the trail, that is fine too.If we get a large turnout some may want to include the east segment. I have parking coordinates listed for it. The east segment will be a 2 mile round trip.
No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail.
Bring a pair of gloves or your favorite trash pick up TOTT.
