This is cache number eight in the Bailieborough Walking Tour series.
You are looking for a small film canister size tub. It contains only a log book and pencil.
On foot from the lake, continue across the car park, cross the road and go down past the chapel to this cache.
As you walk to this cache the Bailieborough Community School is on your left and St Anne's Catholic Church on your right.
St Anne's Catholic Church was built in 1834 to replace the old church, a few years after Catholic emancipation. The original church was described as a long thatched building, and was often referred to as the 'thatched chapel'. The tower and belfry were added in 1861 and in 1870 the chancel baptistery and sacristy were added.
The stations of the cross were erected in the 1940s. They were painted by the famous Irish artist George Collie and are one of a kind.
