Spring is breeding time for the endangered hihi, or stichbird. The sugar water feeding station near here gives hihi an extra boost when their natural foods are scarce. Zealandia rangers and volunteers can also keep an eye out for which birds have chicks to feed! Where would hihi be most likely to find food like nectar, insects and fruit? Turn towards the tower, take 2 big steps and look out for the silver tag to access the prize.
