An ammo box with some swaps, hidden in a secluded spot of my local wood. The logbook has a twist... I'll let you see what I mean when you find it! Although near a school, the woods is entirely separate and cannot be seen or accessed by the children or teachers during the school day; rest assured, there's zero risk of upsetting the staff/pupils (I'm a teacher at the school!).
You can enter the wood from the South (corner of Scott Drive and Maitland road), but if you are on foot, or parking at the bottom of the Twinstead, there's a quieter entrance to the North (51.603254, 0.529102 Waypoint 1). The satellite signal is poor under the tree cover during the summer, so here's a really helpful clue: People will walk RIGHT OVER this cache without ever leaving the gravel footpath, yet no spade was needed to place it... When you find the ammo tin, I would take it out of the woods and open it up there; the risk of muggle dog walkers sneaking up on you is too great to linger at GZ with it open and its contents laid bare! You can fill in the log (which has a twist) with the pen provided, swap some swag (please trade up - no feathers, pebbles or bits of lint) and return it to its place on-top of the bathroom tile (which should not be moved, as this will keep it dry). Speaking of dog walkers, wear old shoes or keep your eyes peeled for little...packages, which are NOT geocaches! If you enjoy the hunt, do not look at the HINT below; it really gives the game away!
Good luck, and happy caching!
