You do not need to perform a chin up to retrieve this cache!
This is a route we took when we had turned around at Chin To Chin 04. We had started the day from Chin Beach and worked our way steadily east until the 30+ degree day slowed us down a bit. (I actually wanted to go on to Chin 05 but had brought just a single ice cold beer for SS in my pack; which we shared...hehe. I really should have brought two!)
I had noticed this little used route on the way and had read Bearclaw's log for the Ground Cumin cache about using it so really wanted to check it out. It worked out very well and whisked us right up to a very nice logging road which we used to walk up to the main highway. Lovely and shaded walk.
This cache is easy to nab from the highway but if you would like to carry on past the cache be aware it is a spine trail just like the one to my Three Doors Cave cache. If you liked that one here is another to check out! Just follow the orange tagging down, down, down.
The cache is placed in the very bottom of a 6-foot stump. Very near this cache is the biggest stump I have ever seen. It is fragile and hollow so I did not want to place a cache there but be sure to check it out. It's amazing!!!
