Puoi venire a piedi, partendo da piazza del Popolo e proseguendo oltre l'antica Porta Montanara per la via Garampa, costeggiata dalle stazioni della Via Crucis. Oppure più comodamente in auto, fino al grande parcheggio posto sotto il convento.

Il Convento dei Cappuccini e la tela del Guercino
Se entri nella piccola chiesetta, in genere sempre aperta, potrai ammirare la bella tela del Guercino posta proprio dietro l'altare. Raffigura San Francesco inginocchiato in adorazione davanti ad una croce, con le braccia aperte e rivolte verso il cielo, che riceve le stigmate, visibili chiaramente sul palmo delle mani e sui piedi.
Padre Guglielmo e i frati cappuccini
Nel convento abitano i frati minori cappuccini, che fanno parte di un ordine che segue la regola di San Francesco.
Molte persone si rivolgono a loro, per la confessione e anche per cercare una guida spirituale.
Uno di loro, padre Guglielmo Gattani, fu particolarmente seguito e divenne la guida spirituale di molti credenti. A lui è dedicata la statua che potete vedere vicino all'entrata del convento.
Il mistero della ragazza scomparsa
Il convento dei Cappuccini è stato anche al centro di una vicenda piuttosto oscura e misteriosa. Nel settembre 1992 una ragazza di Cesena scomparve dopo essersi recata presso il convento, dove aveva appuntamento con il proprio padre spirituale.
Davanti al convento venne infatti ritrovata la sua automobile, ma il frate con il quale aveva appuntamento nega di averla mai incontrata in quel giorno.
Il convento fu anche oggetto di perquisizioni da parte dell'autorità giudiziaria, ma della ragazza non è mai stata trovata alcuna traccia.

The Convent of the Capuchin Friars of Cesena is located on the Garampo hill, just beyond the Malatesta Fortress.
It is worth coming here to enjoy the beautiful panorama. If the weather is good enough, you can see the whole region Romagna up to the sea. It is easy to distinguish the shape of the Cesenatico skyscraper and of the other buildings that characterize the coast.
You may come here walking, starting from Piazza del Popolo and continuing through the ancient Porta Montanara to the Via Garampa, bordered by the stations of the Via Crucis. Or more comfortably by car, up to the large parking place near the convent.

To find the cache you must get to the end of the Via Crucis. Have faith and you will find it!
The Capuchin Convent and the Guercino canvas
If you enter the small church, usually open, you can admire the beautiful painting of Guercino placed just behind the altar.
It depicts St. Francis kneeling in adoration before a cross, with his arms open and facing the sky, receiving the stigmata, clearly visible on the palms of the hands and feet.
Father Guglielmo and the Capuchin friars
The Capuchin friars, who are part of an order that follows the rule of St. Francis, live in the convent.
Many people come here for confession and to seek spiritual guidance.
One of them, Father Guglielmo Gattani, was particularly appreciated and became the spiritual guide of many believers. The statue that you can see near the entrance to the convent is dedicated to him.
The mystery of the missing girl
The Capuchin convent was also at the center of a rather obscure and mysterious event. In September 1992 a girl from Cesena disappeared after going to the convent, where she had an appointment with her spiritual father.
In fact, in front of the convent his car was found, but the friar with whom he had an appointment denies having ever met her on that day.
The convent was also the subject of accurate searches by the judicial authorities, but no trace of the girl was found.
