At part 1, make sure the chirp is enabled on your device. When you succeed in receiving the beacon signal, you'll get coordinates to the final cache. You may be able to get the signal while standing on the trail, if not you may need to go a bit North of the trail to the coordinates to pick up the signal. The difficulty is set high because of the technology needed.
You may find the terrain easier or harder depending on your choices and the season. Rest assured, there are trails from part 1 to part 2, though not all the trail choices are obvious. There were some poison ivy vines in the area of the final but not near the final hide. Have fun!
