Geocache Description:

*Physical cache is NOT at this location - there are 2 puzzles to solve first - you will need a pen, paper and patience* This cache has been placed in memory of Liz Kunde and the dedication she showed in caring for orphans and abandoned babies. After visiting a nearby cache (thanks eatmorchikin), I noticed a very special plaque. It is believed that where this plaque lies is the site of the baby farm/orphanage run by Emma Elizabeth Kunde (Liz), eldest child of Ludwig and Elizabeth Kunde.

Be prepared to make 2 trips to the location. Working out the puzzle on a phone is almost impossible.

Excerpts from pages 122-124 (as shown in pictures) of "They came from Pommern: Life of the Kunde Family". Information supplied by Marguerite Tapper (nee Kunde). <\p>

SOLVING THE PUZZLES: Step 1. Solve the parking location puzzle (clues on waypoint) to decipher the coords to enable you to find the plaque.

Step 2. At the plaque - (2nd waypoint): 2i. Locate the site of the old well. 2ii. Calculate the difference in the 2 years noted on the well. This will give you the reference number (let's call it X) you will need to solve the puzzle below. 2iii. Find the pictures I have attached to this cache. These pictures will provide all the clues to discovering the pehysical cache location.

Step 3. Starting from the heading, EMMA ELIZABETH KUNDE....Using X as your point of reference, count the text (numbers and letters only) up to X. Answers to the puzzle are contained within the first 3 paragraphs – including the top line.

Final location coordinates are: South 2A B2.C04 East 1D3 03.EFG ((SOUTH A=X+409, B=X+301, C=X-59, EAST D=X+138, E=X+504, F=X-60, G=X+406.)) <\p>

Thank you to all those who assisted in researching the history of the plaque this cache was formed from and also to those who convinced me this would be a great way to celebrate discovering the history of the plaque. <\p>

You will need to bring your own ink. If for some reason you are unable to sign the log, please post a non spoiler pic or send me (the CO) a picture....otherwise your found log may be deleted.
