Geocache Description:

This is one in a series of geocaches that have been placed in each of Cranbury's six walking trails. We hope everyone will discover and enjoy all of our trails. Practicing Cache In Trash Out (CITO) while in the park would be appreciated.

Heritage Park is a parcel of land given that was given to Cranbury Township by the developer of the Cranbury Green development in the early 1990s. The primary purpose of this park is to provide “alternative recreation” space for unorganized, informal recreation activities (e.g., walking, jogging, biking, inline skating, Frisbee, kite flying, reading, dog walking). This park was intended to provide park space for the public, especially seniors and adults, not participating in organized team and field sports. Heritage Park features a water fountain (dedicated to commemorate Cranbury’s tercentennial anniversary in 1997), the Judy Dossin Meadow (dedicated in 2007 to honor the former Parks Planning Commission Chairperson), a playground for small children, and a paved pathway approximately 1 mile long. Benches are located throughout the park along the walkways.
