Cuba Landing Marina..... Jesse James hid here! Traditional Cache

An easy "dock and grab" for the boater or anyone passing by on !40..... exit 137 .. plenty of parking near the dock.
 

Located on the beautiful Tennessee River... this cache is a first for us... and the first of a series of "dock and grabs".  Cuba Landing Marina by car is located off exit 137 from I 40 or mile marker 115.5 if traveling by boat.  Cuba Landing Marina is on the Federal Wildlife Refuge and has approximately 260 boat slips to rent.  Josh and Jessica with the help of Joe keep everybody smiling and welcome geo-cachers to their docks.  Folk lore has it that foreign Cuban visitor said that the place reminded him of Cuba... and hense the name stuck.  Civil War boats used the present site to load and unload supplies and Jesse James and his gang hid here in a then saloon after a days big shoot out.  Please enjoy the beautiful little cove and hope you visit here again soon.
