The area in which the geocache is placed is known as "fossil hill" due to the many fossil finds including tiny clams (brachiopods), snails (gastropods), coral, and the occasional trilobite. The area is reforesting with the exception of the Rural Electric right-of-way and the parking area. The area faces west, and, from the very top of the hill you get a pretty sunset view overlooking the town's fire pond - especially when the leaves are changing in the fall.
Just a fraction off the 40th parallel north ... this cache is a quick and easy grab not far from the parking area - no bushwacking necessary. Areas off the trails contain rock piles, so please use care.
Please be sure to replace the container properly so that berry-picking Muggles do not see it!!! Nice large container with room for travel bugs and swag!
Something special for FTF. Good Luck!!
