Stop the Leak before she Blows ! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Big Ragnar: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This is my fourth cache in the Merthyr series.  .

The cache can be found either by walking on the taff trail from Merthyr towards Brecon or parking your car at the location shown.

The cache itself is at the old site of Cyfarthfa works and back in 1800s' it would be disastrous for the plant and surrounding houses for you to even atempt to pour 1/2 litre of water at this location !!! BOOOOM !!!  . Its a ruin now but once the Largest ironworks in the world, but what left today is the huge 6 Blast Furness, along with old rail lines and some odd holes. The site is now part of the Cyfarthfa Heritage Area and hopfully in the future they will begin restoration of the plant for all to enjoy. So while your here pop into the furness and explore :)

The Cache itself will consist of 1 x Log, Geocaching instructions and a small Pencil but bring a PEN just incase.

INSTRUCTIONS - Simple really... Cover the 3 holes and pour in the water.

Happy caching all.

Hope not to see you out there :)
