Elmwood Cemetery back Traditional Cache

Elmwood Cemetery is on Rt 16 on the eastern edge of Litchfield. Elmwood has A Civil War Union Solder memorial overlooking those who rest here near the entrance. Please be respectful of the surroundings. There is no need to bother any of the resting places, the stones or memorials. This is a daytime dawn to dusk cache. Do not try this at night.   

Your GPS will be off a little because caretakers changed stuff. I hope to get more information of the cemetery to enter here. Elmwood Cemetery dates back to the 1840's. It is among the larger cemeteries in Montgomery county with over 9000 plots.  The Union Soldier Memorial had been watching over those resting here for many years. The cemetery is very beautiful with lots of interesting stones and memorials.  Several local dignitaries have their final resting place here. I have hidden 2 caches here. Drive around the soldier toward the back part of the cemetery which is the newer part with few grave stones. The scenery is beautiful back here. There is a place for you to pull to the side to hunt for the cache. It is a pretty easy find.

Please be respectful of the surroundings.  There is no need to disturb any of the stones or memorials but it they are very interesting to read take the time to do so.    This is not a 24/7 cache. The cemetery hours and dawn to dusk, please search only during that time.
