The new-ish SJSU Student Union has an interesting design...sweeping wings on either side of the nicely renovated original core building. The newer and older parts blend together into a lovely, very functional, whole. One strange addition, however, is this "tower" structure. It holds neither clock nor bells. It just...IS. Perhaps the architects thought "well, it's a University... it NEEDS a tower!". They seem to have forgotten that there already is quite a nice tower at SJSU, over at Tower Hall (there was a clue about this somewhere..if only...). In any case, here you can find the new Student Union, and its apparently superfluous appendage.
Parking is available at meters on the streets, or at any of the three garages on campus. Free street parking in the evenings and on weekends. Buildings with bathrooms and cafeteria open most weekdays.
