Il Bosco Littorio di Edolo: le origini
Le prime notizie riguardanti il Bosco Littorio di Edolo si trovano all’interno dei volumi citati Il larice nelle Alpi orientali Italiane di Luigi Fenaroli (1936) e Il Larice sulle Alpi di Giovanni Sala (1937). Dai due testi si evince come la valorizzazione dei popolamenti di origine artificiale (Conifere ad alto reddito), fosse centrale nella programmazione del Ministero delle politiche agricole e forestali.
La pineta è raggiungibile in due modi:
Parcheggio della piscina: lasciata l'auto al parcheggio della piscina scendete verso il fiume e percorrete il percorso vita fino ad un ponte in ferro, attraversatelo e risalite il ripido sentiero che in circa 10 minuti vi porterà alla pineta.
Parcheggio strada del Faeto: parcheggiate l'auto a bordo strada e inoltratevi sulla strada sterrata fino alla pineta in meno di 15 minuti di camminata. Questo percorso è più facile perché pianeggiante.
Dopo che avete trovato la Cache alle coordinate indicate, andate fino al punto panoramico e godetevi il panorama!

The first news about the Littorio wood of Edolo can be found inside the following textbooks: 'The larch of the eastern Italian Alps' written by Luigi Fenaroli (1936) and 'The larch on the Alps' written by Giovanni Sala (1937). These books show how the planting and growing of high productivity conifers was central into the program of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
The pinewood is reachable in two ways:
Swimming pool carpark: after leaving your car at the swimming pool carpark, walk down towards the river and then through the marked walk (percorso vita) till you reach the iron bridge. Walk across this bridge and then up to the steep path. In about 10 minutes you are gonna reach the pinewood.
Carpark at Faeto Street: park your car on the side of the street and walk through the dirt road till you reach the pinewood. It should take less then 15 minutes. The second option is easier because the dirt road is flat.
After finding the Cache following the given coordinates, go to the observation point and enjoy the view!
