Black Manta started out as a mercenary and treasure hunter, who would do anything for a buck. He worked alongside his father, and they were quite successful, acquiring large amounts of money. This enabled him to get extensive martial arts training, and to have his super strong suit created, along with the mask, that shoots out energy beams. Black Manta has no actual powers of his own except his martial arts skills and cunning. All of his super strength and endurance comes from his suit.
Soon after his introduction in the comics, Black Manta and his father were hired to get a sample of Aquaman's blood. They pursued Aquaman, who happened to be traveling with his own father. When the battle ensued, Aquaman's father had a heart attack, and died. Sometime later, Aquaman was again engaged in battle with Black Manta, and this time, Aquaman accidentally killed Manata's father. The two became mortal enemies and arch nemesis from that time forward.
With the Aquaman cache hiding out here in the Robert C Porter Family Park, it was only a matter of time before the Black Manta showed up in pursuit. His cache is now here, a short walk away. It was placed with permission, and as always, no night caching, and Park District rules must be followed.
The cache is a micto, and it is simply hidden. No swag this time though, just a log. Black Manta is a villain. What would you expect?
