If you downloaded this cartridge before April 21, 2020, go back to the Wherigo webpage and download the new cartridge before beginning, or you will be very disappointed at the end.
Take a journey down Payson Main Street. Starting at the northwest corner of main street and highway 87, you will travel 2.5-3 miles to reach the final. At each stop on the way, you will see a portion of of the history of Payson, Arizona. Each stop will require you to answer a question to go to the next stop. I expect that the entire journey can range from 30-90 minutes depending on how fast you travel. It is walkable, but bicycle or car is the best way. All sites are accessible to the public during daylight hours, though some may be closed after dark.
A Wherigo is a game played using a GPS which takes you to a location, requires the completion of a task, then lets you go to the next spot. This particular cache was inspired by GC4Z0HK which is the first true wherigo I ever completed.
Please note that this is NOT a reverse wherigo.
Once you have visited all the sites and answered all the questions, you will be given the final coordinates to the physical geocache. It is a gift from 321Kaboom and is stocked with goodies. The terrain for this cache is 1.5 except for the last few feet to ground zero
The best way to do a wherigo is with a smartphone. First go to Wherigo/com and create an account (can be the same as your geocaching.com log in). Download the wherigo app from either iTunes or Googleplay. Then go back to the wherigo webpage, and download and open the cartridge. It can be found on the wherigo website here. Open the cartridge in the app, then follow the instructions on the screen.
Much thanks to KtTris who beta-tested this for me several times and advised me to make sure it works. It has now been tested on GPS, iphone, and droid.
