If you have already decided to go to the hot springs, you will come a long a very nice route through the mountains and all of a sudden see a sign "Slow down, low visibility, steaming earth". Once you get to this place you will definitely know what is meant by that.
Boiling hot water is close to the earth's surface and evaporates into the air, right through the rocks, leaving a smell of sulphur in the air.
This area is famous for its natural hot springs and made a few local families not only enjoy the hot springs themselves, but some of them even dug pools into the rocks for neighbours and guests to enjoy 36-39 degrees of hot water flowing out of the mountains.
When we came here to the Red Rock Hot Springs family owned pool, we decided to give it a try and have a dip. It's been a great experience.
The cache itself is reachable from the outside and does not require to pay any entrance fee. The hot spring owner approved the cache to be placed there, which is accessible 24/7, yet not much recommended during night to the very remoteness of the place itself.
Enjoy and appreciate mother nature!
