Please note: WE ARE NOT CLEANING THE DAM LOCATION. Instead the idea is to clean the Scenic Rim roadways on the route to take to get to the Dam.
As we drive around, we see far too much rubbish on the grass verges and in the truck stops/ rest stops and playgrounds.
We would love to start a mass effort to clear the Scenic Rim of this.
BE SAFE - DO NOT PUT YOURSELF OR CHILDREN IN DANGEROUS SITUATIONS
There are many routes to take to get to the rubbish drop off Trailer in the Meebun Reserve, as you drive or ride them please keep an eye open and clean areas as you pass them.
This does mean you will need to provide your own gloves, Hi visibility vests and rubbish bags.
We will have rolls of bags at the drop off for you to take from to replace yours or to continue the "trash out" part of the day.
The actual Reserve at the Dam is very well maintained so there will be very little rubbish to collect here, this CITO is about cleaning on your way TO the Reserve.
We will have a clean up station at the CITO location and a First Aide Box
Once you have placed the trash in the trackable trailer which is towed by a trackable Subaru, cleaned yourselves up and had a snack, relax and enjoy the peaceful Lake area, sculpture garden or attempt some of the various geocaches in the area. The following activities are permitted in the Wyaralong Dam area:
BBQ provided, Tables and shelters provided, Playground,
Horse riding, Mountain biking, Fishing,
Kayaks and canoes
Limited free camping is avalible
NO PETROL CRAFT
NO DOGS (except Guide and assistance dogs)
