This is a small series of caches dedicated to the people of Burragorang . A back to Burragorang reunion is usually held in March-April of each year at Wollondilly Heritage Centre at The Oaks.
The Burragorang Miners memorial is dedicated to the miners who lost their lives in the coal mines of of the valley.
Since the first coal was mined in 1878, when the Nattai Mining Company was established, and more so since the 1930’s, when the Clinton and Fox families pioneered and established their mines, the whole district has been touched in some way by the mining industry. Plaques on the wheel show mining operations from 1930 to when the last Wollondilly Washery closed on 15 June 2001 when the coal mining industry in Wollondilly came to an end.
The cache is a small magnetic micro , pencil required
