The original “bluff” is located on the now inaccesable to the public road into Burragorang Valley. The original bluff or “Jump Up” was used to drive flocks of sheep from the valley to Camden. It sometimes took the herders 2 days to come up the mountain.
It got its name because there was a rough ledge or “jump up”, which only bullocks could manage safely.
In the 1940 and 50’s it wasn’t uncommon for a coal truck descending to end up over the side and into the valley below. Remnants of those trucks could probably still be found at the bottom.
The cache is a small bison tube, camouflaged. No need to extract , just undo when found. Pencil required
