It was a normal Thursday for Clark. He was making his weekly deposit at the City by the River when suddenly he heard a woman screaming! The sound bounced off the buildings, making it hard to figure out which direction it was coming from. He headed south past a door covered in fruit and turned west towards Shu Shu’s. He paused for a moment at the end of the alley, then followed the sign toward the “Best of the Best”.
AHA! There she was! The damsel in distress! But what is she trying to tell him?
READ THIS PARAGRAPH BEFORE MOVING ON “Things aren’t as they appear. Follow your heart, make the necessary changes, pass the llama. Don’t let the bees take over the world, the butterfly has three eyes and the creatures have already altered Wonder Woman. The Dynamic Duo have shortened their name and there’s no parking near the strange place. Only you can make things right again!”
WHAT? But she was gone!
CONTINUE NOW “Follow your heart”, he followed the direction the red heart was pointing. He came upon a very familiar red object. “Make the necessary changes”. Into the phone booth he went and emerged as SUPERMAN! Now, what was that about a llama? In the distance, to the south he saw an outline. Was it a giraffe? No! It’s the llama! “Pass the llama” On gut instinct, he turned east just past the llama and entered a land of bees and honey - "Don't let the bees take over the world - they've already altered Wonder Woman". But where? Oh my goodness, there she is! She looks more like Marilyn Monroe than Wonder Woman. What have they done to her? There's the butterfly! Yes, one, two… three eyes! He must get out of this world before they change him too! He quickly heads north past the beehive and makes the first right turn that he can. The dynamic duo IS now just a plural. There is no parking - in the courtyard??? He must be getting close! Where is this odd land where everything is opposite?
Must. Not. Give. Up. He ran out to the sidewalk. There! Just over his left shoulder. A strange, opposite world! Reaching inside this odd world, he grabs the box that would soon correct things. Once opened he takes the small wooden object and makes his mark. Instantly, his clothes return to the suit he was wearing at the bank and everything is back to normal.
Just another day in the life of a mild mannered reporter and another damsel in distress.
