Te Tai Kauri/Kauri Coast DoC office services everything from Pouto in the south to the Hokianga in the north, mostly following along the Kaipara District boundaries to the east.
They are a team of hardworking rangers ensuring that our native ecological heritage remains in pristine condition, and are involved in saving some of our most rare species, such as the kokako, our native pekapeka/bats, kiwi and bitterns (to name a few). They are also the guardians to our mighty kauri, especially the majestic Waipoua forest.
