As I was driving home from buring my Dad today, I was driving down 690 and glanced over at "Cappi's" HIll. I was going to get on the thruway to go home but just had to make a "U" turn and visit the hill one more time! I grew up in Seneca Knolls in th real late 50's and 60's, just on the other side of this hill. We called it Cappi's Hill because Cappuccilli Builders built the neighborhood in the late 50's and 60's. Without the internet and phones and a lot of other things we went out and played! The hill has a fairly new cell tower that is where the cache is located on the drive to it. Interesting though is the large solid concrete water tower just beyond the cell tower, built to provide water pressure to the neighborhood. Visit if you have a few minutes, not a long walk,(but up hill). Just beyond that is the steepest down hill part of the hill where we just about killed ourselves sleding down it with those old wooden sleds with the metal runners, (remember?), barely missing a barbed electrical box! I also have great memories of riding my minibike and shooting my BB gun here. While there you can still see the erosion on some of the small hills where we and they still drive dirt bikes there. Thanks for letting me go down memory lane! Enjoy the hill as I did if you have time!
Please handle cache very carefully as not to loose it and replace just as carefully! THX! Cache On!!
Congrats to TD Lover and Sekhmet for FTF!!
