It shouldn't be too difficult to spot the likely place to pull over for this cache. Once you find the Very Large Tree that is in fact a Blue Gum you can take some time to marvel at it's size.
Rumor has it that Captain Cook bought the seedling over from Australia and gave it to some local Maori who planted the tree here (this story was told to us by the farmer who's property this tree is on), I do not know if this is true but whatever the story is behind this tree, there is no mistaking that it is very large. Funnily enough the tree is on Tree Street but the street was named after the Tree family who lived further along Tree Street, not because of the Very Large Tree.
