The Askew Student Life Center, named after the late former Governor of Florida, provides students at Florida State University with a wide variety of entertainment purposes. Also at the ASLC is housed University Housing and the Counseling Center, which serves the students' on-campus living and psychological needs respectively.
The coordinates provided will take you to a sign that has a number on it. Remember the number as ABC and use it to follow these directions in order to get to the cache:
1. Make B+C paces south.
2. Make A+C paces east, in which you will go through the doors.
3. Make B paces north and take the elevator.
4. After using the elevator, take one step out and then make (A*C)+C paces east.
5. Make B+C paces north.
6. Make B paces east and you should see the cache.
The closest place to park is at the Traditions Garage northwest of the Center (if you are able to find a spot there), which is safe to park there at times OTHER THAN weekdays from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Unlike most other caches on FSU's campus, this one is NOT available 24/7 and has the following hours of access:
Mon - Fri from 8AM - 11PM
Sat & Sun from 12PM - 11PM
Closed on home football game Saturdays.
While I have been given permission to have the cache placed where it is, it is important to note that NO SWAG TRADING IS PERMITTED with this one.
As this is currently the only letterbox hybrid cache within an 80-mile radius of Tallahassee, it is important to note certain things to more recent geocachers:
1. The coordinates are not where the cache is, similar to a mystery cache, but rather you have to rely on the given coordinates to help you.
2. When you find the cache, not only is there a logbook but also an ink stamp. In addition to signing the log you can take the stamp and use it on a logbook if you carry one around yourself. In turn, if you carry an ink stamp of your own you can use it on the logbook in the cache.
3. The ink stamp in the cache is NOT a tradable item. Leave it in the cache after using it along with the logbook and pen.
