Humedal El Culebrón Traditional Cache

Un geocache en el humedal El Culebrón en la ciudad de Coquimbo.
[ESP] Humedales son zonas entre la tierra y el agua y por eso ecosistemas únicas. Son especialmente importante para los aves que lo ocupan como zona de descanso, hábitat y para buscar alimentos. En el humedal de Culebrón 82 especies de aves fueron registrados y la cercanía a los ciudades de Coquimbo y La Serena ofrece una gran oportunidad de tomar un descanso de la vida urbana y disfrutar la naturaleza. Lamentablemente esta cercanía también significa gran amenazas, por ejemplo la contaminación por basura y por aguas residuales y el traspaso por carreteras y la linea de ferrocarril.

En búsqueda del cache, por favor, no boten basura y no lleguen demasiado cerca con el auto! Se puede estacionar unos cien metros alejados y disfrutar un pequeño paseo.
[ENG] Wetlands are areas between land and water bodies and therefore a very special ecosystem. Especially birds find a home, refugee and nutrition here. In this wetland “El Culebrón” alone, 82 species of birds were recorded. Because of its proximity to the cities of Coquimbo and La Serena it offers a quick break from the urban stress. Unfortunately this proximity also brings a lot of environmental problems. Not only litter and sewage water threaten the local flora and fauna but also the close-by highways and railway.
