Second in a small string of caches. These take you on a journey through my life growing up in Westchester....more to come.
I came to this park often as a child. My grandma would take me for walks and then as I got older I could go with friends. We would pack a lunch and bring some bread to feed the ducks. Exploring in the woods was fun and in the winter we would go walking on the ice. The waterfalls were my favorite place to hang. This particular spot is good for a break from the path and to watch the wildlife. I come here now to photograph birds and look for snapping turtles and bullfrogs with my niece. Remember to CITO and even though I did as a child, don't feed the ducks. They've got plenty to eat from nature!
*Please do not stop along the Bronx River Parkway!! It is very dangerous and very illegal!! You may run into trouble in the winter with snow and bring a pen!!
