[ITA] La Repubblica di Cuba è un arcipelago dei Caraibi, posto tra il mar dei Caraibi, il golfo del Messico e l'oceano Atlantico. Verso nord si trovano gli Stati Uniti e Bahamas, a ovest il Messico, a sud le isole Cayman e la Giamaica e a sud-est Haiti.
Dopo il crollo del Muro di Berlino, l'alleanza con l'URSS si è sciolta. La maggiore alleata internazionale è diventata la Cina, con cui i rapporti multilaterali sono eccellenti; ottimi sono altresì i rapporti con Venezuela, Corea del Nord, Dopo alla riapertura delle relazioni diplomatiche con gli Stati Uniti, rimangono ancora abbastanza tese le relazioni con la maggior parte degli Stati europei soprattutto dopo che l'UE decretò delle sanzioni diplomatiche contro L'Havana: in particolare Fidel Castro guidò il 12 giugno 2003 una manifestazione contro la Spagna e l'Italia, guidate all'epoca da Josè Maria Aznar e Silvio Berlusconi, che il líder maximo definì "fascisti e briganti" nonché i maggiori responsabili delle sanzioni.

la cache torna al progetto iniziale per parlare di CUBA nei pressi del consolato di Milano.
Per chi va ora a CUBA, a valle del rilassamento dell'embargo internazionale, c'è la possibilità di vivere ancora quella mistica esperienza di "socialismo reale".

CUBA LIBRE
Il Cuba libre è un cocktail ufficiale IBA, appartenente alla categoria dei long drinks a base di rum bianco, cola e lime. Simile al rum & cola, i due termini vengo spesso utilizzati in modo intercambiabile, sebbene indichino due cocktail differenti.

L'origine del cocktail è piuttosto incerta. L'ipotesi più comunemente accreditata afferma che il Cuba Libre Nacque tra il 1900 e il 1902 a L'Avana, durante la Guerra ispano-americana e la conquista dell'indipendenza di Cuba dalla Spagna con l'aiuto degli Stati Uniti. I soldati cubani e statunitensi erano soliti mescolare la cola, importata a Cuba per la prima volta proprio in quegli anni, con il rum. Varie le supposizioni sul nome dell'inventore: alcune fonti fanno risalire la ricetta ad un soldato, chiamato col nome di copertura John Doe, che ordinò all'American Bar di Calle Nettuno, un bar aperto da due americani nella capitale cubana, "Coca Cola americana, rum cubano in un bicchiere pieno di ghiaccio e una spruzzata di lime", brindando successivamente ¡Por Cuba libre! (per Cuba libera), il grido di battaglia dei guerriglieri; secondo una deposizione del 1965 di Fausto Rodriguez, un messaggero dell'esercito cubano, il soldato sarebbe il capitano Russel dei corpi di comunicazione americani. Un'altra teoria propone che fu un barman cubano a mescolare la Coca Cola (prodotto tipico statunitense) al rum (prodotto tipico cubano) per unire simbolicamente le due nazioni. Altre ipotesi fanno derivare il Cuba libre dal Daiquiri allungato con la cola, ricetta in seguito semplificata secondo l'uso attuale, o propongono l'origine del nome dalla testata del giornale rivoluzionario "Cuba Libre" fondato nel 1928 da Julio Antonio Mella.

CUBA LIBRE
The Cuba libre is an official IBA cocktails, belonging to the category of long drinks made with white rum, cola and lime. Similar to rum & cola, the two terms I am often used interchangeably, although indicate two different cocktails.

The most commonly accepted hypothesis states that the Cuba Libre was born between 1900 and 1902 in Havana, during the Spanish-American War and the attainment of independence of Cuba from Spain with the help of the US. Various assumptions on the name of the inventor: some sources date the recipe to a soldier, called with the cover name John Doe, who ordered the American Bar Calle Neptune, a bar open from two Americans in the Cuban capital, "Coca Cola American, Cuban rum into a glass filled with ice and a splash of lime, "¡Por Cuba libre after toasting! (For Free Cuba), the battle cry of the guerrillas; according to a deposition of 1965 by Fausto Rodriguez, a Cuban army messenger, the soldier would be Captain Russell of American communication bodies. Another theory suggests that it was a Cuban bartender mixing Coca Cola (typical American product) rum (typical Cuban product) to symbolically unite the two nations.
