Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden at the given coordinates. To log a find however, you need to qualify for the challenge.

There are very few challenge caches in the Peak District, so I thought I would add one. This is based on the number of days in a row you have managed with at least one geocache find logged.

The cache type or location for this challenge are irrelevant, you simply need to have found at least one cache on 50 consecutive days. This can easily be verified using your statistics page on your profile under Longest Streak or with the challenge checker below. I have achieved qualification for this challenge; myself from 11.12.15 to 29.1.16, which ultimately became a streak of 366 days! BlLbo also qualifies, having caught up with his logging!

As per the new challenge cache rules, you may sign a challenge cache's physical log at any time. However, the cache may be logged as Found online only after the log is signed and the challenge task has been met & documented. But, you may record your visit online by writing a note. This can later be changed to a find once you have qualified for the challenge.

The streak must be at 50 or more days before logging this cache as a find. This cache cannot complete the streak!

PGC Checker

I have chosen this position for the cache because of the extensive view across the Haddon Estate towards Haddon Hall & Bakewell. The hamlet here is Pilhough (pronounced Pilluth) whilst the prominent wooded hill to the north east is Peak Tor (pronounced locally as Picter). It was an Iron Age fort & there are earthworks still visible below the hill on the NE side.

The cache itself ought to be a very easy find. (The difficulty rating relates largely to the challenge element!) I have had to replace the container with a smaller attached one after the previous one kept blowing away! Please use the parking place suggested as a waypoint. Although this is normally a quiet country lane, large lorries travel down it from quarries near Stanton-in-Peak, so please take care whilst searching.

Congratulations to Alfreton Divers for FTF!
