This park is known for its “breath-taking panoramic views of San Pedro, Santa Catalina Island and the Los Angeles / Long Beach harbor complex. Comprised of 123 acres, it is also home to the beautiful, captive-bred and federally endangered Palos Verdes Blue butterfly. The park also offers recreational activities including hiking trails, field trips, nature camps and a Nature Center.” But more importantly to all y’all, the park has 4 caches for you to find – 2 traditionals and 2 multis. As most of the So Bay locals know, there are also a TON of other caches nearby that are fun, have great history behind them, and/or are located in very pretty spots….so why not make it a full morning or day of caching in San Pedro and PV?
Your hosts will have some light refreshments for you and a party favor or two. Bring your travel bugs so we can oooh and aaah over them or swap them! And bring hiking gear if you are planning to cache this or nearby parks before or after the event. The parking lot is open from 730am-7pm during Daylight Savings Time.
The event starts at 9:30 am and runs until 11:00 am at the picnic tables at the end of the parking lot where the park’s Nature Center is.
