Geocache Description:

Official 2016 CITO Week #2 Event

Sunday, Sept 18, 5-6 p.m.

Worthington Dog Park

8170 Hillsborough Road

Ellicott City, MD 21043

All are welcome to attend this official 2016 Cache In Trash Out week #2 event to earn a Geocaching souvenir and a more beautiful Maryland!

We're gathering at the two parking waypoints to clean around the off-leash area, meet Geocachers and their Geodogs, and share caching stories. There's also a restroom, doggie water fountains, trash bins, and a dumpster in the area.

Those of you who attended my CITO here last year may remember we picked up a few dozen trash bags, several tires, a busted laptop, countless cigarettes and alcohol containers, and a rusted car door. Those of you who've attended any of my MD CITOs know I somehow manage to pick places that have unexpectedly vast amounts of trash, hence the 3/3 rating, so let's pitch IN once again to get the trash OUT!

All attendees must fill out a Howard County Recreation & Parks volunteer form before participating in the event. This form also exempts volunteers from the $5 park fee if you'd like to use it after the event.  Please log your Will Attend so I know how many to print.

Howard County Recreation and Parks will provide gloves and trash bags, but please bring your own water and any other supplies you might need for one hour that'll make a huge difference for our community.

If you want to bring your dog(s), please bring one of the following for each pup: a rabies dog tag, a rabies certificate, or a county dog license.

If there's rain or other inclement weather that might dampen your volunteer spirit, please consider buddying up with another attendee so one person can hold an umbrella while the other picks up litter.

Finally, please remember to find me (Gally) and sign the log before you leave the CITO. If you haven't met me before, my photo is on our profile, and my most notable feature is the Travel Bug tattoo on my right forearm.
