When: Saturday, September 24
What time: 10 am to 11 am(ish)
Where: South River Road in Salem
Come join us as we spruce up our adopted road section and spend time with local cachers- a great opportunity to put names to those logs, share caching tips and plan caching adventures. And possibly find a few caches in the neighborhood. The event will take place rain, shine or fog. You will need to dress for any possible type of weather, although the weather is traditionally nice this time of year. Rubber gloves, trash bags, colored vests and a few grabbers will be supplied by the City of Salem. Bring garden gloves for yourself, if you wish. Hats and sunscreen are also recommended.
Since we have a fair number of caches in this area, we have adopted the stretch of River Road between Croisan Creek Road and the entrance to Minto-Brown park. Consecutive traffic lights, just to make things easy.
Update 9/23: We will be having a raffle, to be held after everyone has completed their labors. All are eligible, regardless of age. And the forecast for tomorrow is COOL and DRY. I would plan on the cool, but take the dry with a grain of salt. Dress accordingly.
