Quilt Blocks of Southwest Washington.
These Quilt Blocks or "barn quilts" are large, hand-painted on wood and typically displayed on the front or side of a barn. We have been noticing more and more of these popping up on barns and other structures in southwest Washington. The team, verano, Mtribe and Peas&Corn, decided to place some geocaches so that you could enjoy them too.
A few things to remember:
1. Some of the Quilt Blocks are on private residential property and operating businesses. Please respect the owner's wishes and adhere to the instructions given on the cache. If you can enter private property, you will be advised; otherwise, stay out!
2. The coordinates provided will get you within sight of the Quilt Blocks. Some are further away than others.
3. As always, be safe and watch for traffic.

On July 10, 2015, inspired by the Barn Quilt at the Mountain Valley Grange, a 4' by 6' design named Lone Fir to represent logging, was mounted on the museum. The Lone Fir is flanked by two smaller Quilt Blocks. The Pioneer Log Cabin for the pioneers who came to settle in the area and Cathlapootle Trails for the Native Americans who lived in the area. These designs represent the three main focuses of the museum.
