The site already contained graves when the Town of Tiffany voted to “buy 2 acres of land on the hill back of Haysetown (Hayestown) for a public cemetery. Not to cost more than five dollar per acre. one Acre of said cemtarey to be fenced in where the grave (s) now are. said fence to be a board fence and not to cost more than $15.” (From Panorama of Progress, by William L. Your search will take you to the oldest part of the cemetery at the top of the hill. One of the earliest graves is that of Moses Hays, a veteran of the War of 1812. You will need to find Moses' headstone to answer the following questions to get the final coordinates.
