In the not too distant future, the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge will be moving its headquarters to the end of nearby 67th Place, bringing it closer to the community it represents and provide more interactive activities for visitors. Hiking trails, close proximity to cycling trails, and numerous other opportunities for nature related activities will be part of the development. Extensive restoration work is underway to restore estuary habitats in preparation for the new complex, visible from a new parking area and information board recently completed at the end of 67th Place.
